Up for bid is a fantastic vintage sheer jumpsuit from the late 60's or early 70's which is bound to turn heads!! There are no size tags so please see "How I Measure" and measurements below to ensure a proper fit. It measures small. The material is a very sheer lightweight chiffon in brown and black. A burn test of some of the fibers revealed that it is possibly silk.
Features of the wonderful jumpsuit/pants include a light salmon colored chiffon sleeveless bodice with thin beige shoulder straps, a short lining which covers the stomach and hips area, and a back zipper with hook and thread eye closure.
The jacket cover up or dress features the same op art bubbles on sheer chiffon material, long sleeves with 3 fabric button and loops for closure, gathers along the waistline, 4 matching buttons and loops for a front closure along with a hook and thread eye closure under the collar and hook and metal eye closure at the waistband. The cover up does not open all the way...it is a slip-on style and is knee length.
Measurements: Jumpsuit/Pants: Underarm to underarm 16 inches (has been taken in slightly on both sides so it would probably allow another inch), Approx Bust 32 to 34, Underarm to waist 6 1/2 inches, Side of waist to side of waist 14 inches, Side of hips to side of hips approx 20 inches, Inseam 26 1/2 inches with a 2 inch hem, and Underarm to bottom hem 44 inches.
Shoulder to shoulder 15 3/4 inches, Underarm to underarm 17 1/2 inches, Shoulder to end of sleeve 23 1/2 inches, Underarm to end of sleeve 17 1/2 inches, Shoulder to waist 16 inches, Side of waist to side of waist 13 3/4 inches, and Back of neck to bottom hem 38 inches with a 3 inch hem.
This fabulous set is in excellent condition with no major issues. The pants have one small open seam on the hem of the left leg. There are two tiny pinholes on the front right side of the jacket and there is a small open seam along the hemline.

How I measure clothing:
Measurements are of the garment...not the wearer. Please be sure to allow an inch of two for comfort.
Garment is measured while flat on a table. Please measure clothing that fits you well
before
you place bid to make sure this garment will fit you. All clothing, unless otherwise noted, is in
used
condition and will show some signs of wear. I will do my best to note every flaw that I find in the auction's description. I am only human and may miss something.
Fiber Content Information/Cleaning/Mending:
If the fiber content tag is still attached to the garment, I will state the information in the description. If there is no content tag, I will do my best to describe the material.... All garments will need to be hand laundered, machine laundered or dry cleaned prior to use, unless I state in the auction that I have cleaned it. Some vintage fabrics require professional dry cleaning and I do not have a reliable cleaner in my area. Other vintage fabrics require special care and I dare not attempt using harsh chemicals or risk damage to the item. I will, however, clean garments if I feel comfortable doing so.
Due to my lack of sewing skills, any item requiring mending will be left to the new owner.
Refund Policy
:
If you are unhappy with your purchase, please email within 48 hours of receiving the package and state you will be returning the item. Refund will be given as soon as item is returned and inspected.
US buyers: Item must be returned with a tracking number within 30 days of auction's end.
International buyers: Items must be returned in original packing using same method of shipping.
All items must be in the same condition as received.
Clothing items must be UNWORN!! Full refund plus one way shipping for items returned that were my fault....all others will have no shipping refund. No refunds for International purchases that were refused for customs fees.
Non-Smoking Household. Items secured from other locations may have been subjected to other environmental odors. We do have a cat.
