that have the common BNC antenna connection. See pic 3 showing BNC connector.
Up for "BUY IT NOW" is The Investigator Scanner Antenna™. This antenna is perfect for the apartment dweller or home owner that needs an excellent Scanner Antenna and does not want the hassle with the landlord, neighbors, spouse etc...Or where space is limited or where there are outside antenna restrictions. Also excellent for hotel or camping or in a survival emergency situation.
The Investigator Scanner Antenna™ is simple to use and very easy to hook up. 1. Hang The Investigator from its simple hook on the top of the antenna from a screw or a nail to wherever desirable like to your wall, door frame, behind curtains, back of desk, behind the dresser etc.  2. Plug the (8 foot) coax to your scanners BNC antenna connector and thats it ..simple. The Investigator with it's compact size takes up little space so it can easily be hidden out of site so no one will ever know it is there. The Investigator Scanner Antenna™ is my "Original" Design.
    The Investigator Scanner Antenna™ will
    pull
    in
    signals
    compared
    to those
    rubber
    or
    telescopic
    antennas
that come stock with a scanner. The Investigator can be mounted anywhere and as high up all the way to your ceiling if desired.
The Investigator covers the legal Scanner Frequencies in the 30 MHz to 1300 MHz range

The Investigator is a dual band design antenna. With this design you get the full range of your scanners frequencies from 30 - 1200 MHZ  with the Investigator being especially hot in the 400 - 1200 mhz range.
    **As an added bonus**
You will get a link to one of the *Largest Frequency Databases* to where you can program your scanner with
    LOCAL
    frequencies from
    YOUR
    AREA
    .
    YOU
    WILL
    NEED
these frequencies to set up your (new) scanner for monitoring all the action. You get them here along with my Investigator Scanner Antenna to receive them. *Site covers most continental U.S States and Counties with current periodic updates.
    **
    This
    **
is a free added bonus no guarantees implied that the site will have your specific location but with around 97% coverage the chances are good.
    **This site can also be
    VERY
    VALUABLE
for like when on vacation in a hotel or camping. Just look up the frequencies before you leave of where you will be staying and copy or print them. That way you can take your scanner with you and be able to monitor the action where you are staying.**
The Investigator Scanner Antenna will work (fit) on all scanners that have a BNC antenna hookup such as Uniden, Radio Shack, Aor and many more

In making my Investigator Scanner Antenna™ I don't use cheap black high loss RG - 174 mini coax which has 8.4db loss - (8.4db loss means wasted signal not getting to your scanner) like used elsewhere. I instead construct the antenna with Premium quality white RG59 Communications coaxial cable with heavy 95% shielding for "maximum signal transfer" to your scanner. This coax has a permanently attached
nickel plated brass BNC connector with a gold plated contact for excellent conductivity hookup to your scanner. The Investigator scanner antenna™ secrete workings are housed in solid durable conduit housing with top and bottom cap fittings.  All soldered connections soldered with safe lead free solder. This quality construction makes for an excellent durable antenna that will perform for many years of reliable service.
Below is a chart of different coaxes and their DB Loss. Notice: The RG 174/U Also Known As Mini Coax it has a 8.4 DB loss. Even RG 58 has a 4.2 DB Loss Now notice the RG 59 Coax I use on my Scanner Antennas it has a DB Loss of 2.9 . It is clear that the RG 174 has 5.5 more DB loss than my RG 59 Coax. DB loss is basically lost signal in the Coax that never reaches the Receiver in this case here your Scanner
