ThePetoskey Stone
is a variety of calcite formed by the fossilization of ancient coral. These stones are found on many beaches of
Lake Huron
and
Lake Michigan
as well as in rock quarries around the Traverse City, Michigan area. It is the official
State Stone of Michigan
. These stones are polished on
one
side and the other side has been left in its natural state (see the last photo). The stones vary in size, but most are about .05"-1.75"L x 1"W. You will be shipped three Petoskey stones
similar
to the photos since no two are exactly the same. Each set of stones comes in a black velvet drawstring pouch. We offer
