Lion Headed KOP Knights of Pythias Sword w/Scabbard - Id'd

Description

Lion Headed KOP Knights of Pythias Sword Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso is marked "The Henderson Ames Co. Kalamazoo Mich.". The grip and pommel are tight, the guard is loose. The sharkskin grip is 99% complete but there has been a repair by the lions mouth and part of the grip wasn't put under its head correctly, see the pic. The wires are complete. The outer branch of the knuckleguard is a little lower than it should be. The etched blade has what looks like the name "C. T. Grossman." on it. Overall the blade is straight, unsharpened, the tip is a little sharp, a few light nicks, and is mostly clean with a few spots of surface loss on the ricasso area. The scabbard is solid with no dents/dings, and has surface loss freckles with light surface rust scattered throughout. Washer is intact. Length of the blade measures 31 7/8" (7/8" wide x 3/16" thick spine), length of the sword is 37 3/8", and in the scabbard it is 39".
