    Description

    Horn
coral fossil heads from the Devonian age,,380 million years ago,,,long ago extinct,,sized  approximately 1/4 to 1 1/4 inch by 1/4 to 1 inch in 1/4 pound lots scooped from coral as pictured. These coral horn heads are nice and clean so the insides and outside features can be seen nicely.Coming from Payson,Arizona,USA these coral horns most likely came from large colonies of coral that once were in the oceans covering this area. The coral has long ago agatized or fossilized but still retains the coral horn pattern that makes these pieces unique in the horn coral family.
