Edwin Jagger offers traditional English handmade Badger Shaving Brush.  There are three main types of Badger hair used.  This uses the Best Badger type. This is an excellent quality of pure badger hair and regarded as a benchmark standard among brush manufacturers. The hair is harvested from the majority of the pelt, including the belly.  It is generally darker in color with varying colors of grey, brown and black hairs.  Badger hair is far superior in creating lather than from using bristle brushes.
Badger hair is a natural product and with proper care can last 10 to 15 years. It is natural for a few hairs to shed when first used. Wet the hair first before dipping into the shaving foam or soap by gently using a light circular or up and down motion with slight pressure. After shaving rinse the hair gently with clean water, flick excess water away and place in stand with hair pointing down. If you do not have a stand, place brush pointing up. Do not store in a small enclosure.  It must be placed in a large enough space to dry.
