Outstanding large 2 piece fossil coral geode from Georgia. This piece is ready for the display case. Spacious interior is lined with botryoidal formations composed of thick orange amber agate coated in layers of matte white comon opal. Outside shows the structure of the ancient coral. You will not be disappointed with this natural masterpiece.
An excellent addition to a fossil, rock, or mineral collection.  Photos taken dry.
Approximate overall measurements are 6" x 6" x 9" and total weight is 9 lbs, 8 oz.
Georgia fossil coral is approx. 25-45 million years old, is around 7 on the Moh's scale, and is highly prized for jewelry and lapidary work.
